Kannur Loksabha assemby : In 2014 General Election Communist Party of India (Marxist) which is the part of Left Democratic Front Candidate P.K Sreemathi teacher was won from Kannur HPC with the margin of 6566 Votes. Sreemathi teacher got 427622 votes. Indian National Congress (United Democratic Front) Candidate K. Sudhakaran got 421056 votes and 2nd place. Bharatiya Janata Party / National Democtatic Alliance candidate PC Mohanan Master (3rd Place with 51636 Votes) and Social Democratic Party of India Candidate KK Abdul Jabbar got 19710 Votes (4th Place).
