In 2011 Legislative assembly election Mr. PV Abdul Razaq was won from Manjeswaram Legislative constituency. he was the Indian Union Muslim League (UDF) candidate. Mr. Surendran was the Runner up, he was the Candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party which is the part of National Democratic Alliance. Manjeswaram Legislative constituency is the part of Kasargod Loksabha Constituency. In 2014 Mr. P Karunakaran was won from Kasargod, he is the candidate of CPIM - Left Democratic Front. Unfortunately P. Karunakaran got just third place (29,433 votes) in Manjeswaram legislative constituency. Mr. Sidhique (INC-UDF) got 52,459 Votes and Mr. Surendran (BJP-NDA) got 46,631 votes.
